Agency Description:

The Orange County Family Justice Center (OCFJC) is a safe, confidential and friendly place where immediate assistance and intervention is provided to survivors of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, and elder / dependent adult abuse.  

The OCFJC Foundation is seeking a Program/Administrative Coordinator to support the growth in program and administrative efforts. This person will support our mission of providing direct victim assistance, empowerment, and prevention resources to individual victims and families whose lives have been impacted by family violence. The OCFJC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan organization, based in Anaheim, and serves all of Orange County.

Job Classification:

The Program/Administrative Coordinator will be hired as an employee of the OCFJC Foundation under the direction of the Executive Director with advice from the OCFJC Foundation Board. The Program/Administrative Coordinator will assist the organizations achievement of its mission and goals. This role is for a limited term of two (2) years and is funded through CalOES state funds.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the non-profit world with administrative and/or management of human services programs, client outreach and development, including outreach events, is desirable.

  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills is necessary.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and database management programs.  

  • Degree from an accredited college or university is desirable and a high school diploma is required.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of internal infrastructure to bolster growth of OCFJC Foundation efforts.

  • Support special events with the assistance from various event committees; supervising registration and related event activities.

  • Manage Foundation mentoring program and all related activities, including mentor and mentee recruitment, development and tracking.

  • Support existing violence prevention programs (Kids Creating Change, Real Teens / Real Talk, Parents Creating Change), direct services (Back To School, Adopt A Family, YMCA Camp Partnership, Dance Programs/Motown event and other one-day field trips / program events) and resource fairs.  

  • Support the OCFJC Community Services Specialist whose responsibilities encompass the above mentioned programs.  Provide support into expanding these programs into new communities / areas and expand programs as needed or directed by the Executive Director.

  • When required, supervise volunteers and/or interns.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors.

Hiring Process:

  • The selection process may include, but is not limited to multiple oral interviews and/or panel interviews with the OCFJC Board.

  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a thorough reference check and background investigation related to the Program/Administrative Coordinator position.  The background investigation will include, but is not limited to a criminal history check, verification / evaluation of current and past illegal drug use, credit check (Transunion), employment history, and a polygraph examination related to the Program/Administrative Coordinator position.

Salary Range:

$55,000 annually, (paid biweekly) depending on experience and qualifications. There are no additional benefits offered.
